Dear parents,

since the school year 2010/2011 has been established in our school a preparatory class. About the placement of your child in the preparatory class it is possible to decide after submitting an application for admission with the recommendation of the pedagogic-psychological centre. Children will be admitted according to criteria mentioned below on this website.

Preparatory class is an intermediate stage between preschool and primary education. Its main purpose is to prepare children for the first class of the primary school.

The lessons are from 8 am to 11:40 am. Children have a possibility to attend school canteen, after-school childcare and study circles (11:40 am – 17:00 pm).

Preparatory class is not included in the obligatory school attendance. Children are not classified. At the end of the school year children receive word evaluation with the report how they completed preparatory class.

The education in preparatory class is free of charge. The advantage in comparison with nursery school is the reduced number of children in the classroom (no more than 15), that enables the teacher an intensive and individual work with children.

For the registration of your child it is necessary to come in time of the registration in the first class. On the ground of a big interest we recommend to register your child as soon as possible, at the latest until 30th June. In individually arranged date please come to school with your child, the birth certificate of your child and the identity document of the legal representative. We accept also children who were at the registration in another school.

Criteria for admission of your child in the preparatory class

-          the recommendation of the pedagogic-psychological centre

-          the date of delivery of the application form

-          the child is from adjacent district of our school

-          the child is registered at school for primary education

-          the child is socially disadvantaged from Prague 2

-          the child has got a sibling in our school

After the previous agreement parents are allowed to come and see the lessons in the preparatory class whenever during the school year. Do not hesitate and come.

Model timetable of our preparatory class

7:45 – 8:00 am: arrival to school

8:00 – 8:45 am: community circle, health exercises

8:45 – 9:00 am: break, snack

9:00 – 9:45 am: lessons (premathematical training, development of logical thinking, logopedic prevention, Czech for foreigners, training of graphomotor activity and fine motor activity, training of concentration, preparation for reading skills)

9:45 – 10:00 am: break

10:00 – 10:45 am: lessons

10:45 – 11:00 am: break

11:00 – 11:40 am: educations (Music, Art, Ceramics, Sport)
